I used to be with godaddy when I first got involved with hosting. I thought everything was just right for a beginner. Support was a bit slow, but at least they replied. Overall I can recommend them if you aren't going to be too complicated with your site because they don't use cpanel with their regular hosting plans.

I think they are good for simple static sites and domains and that is about it. I had to move so many customers from GoDaddy Hosting in the past.
