Open Question: Why does my computer freeze exactly every hour?

I have looked at the times and it seems to freeze every 7 minutes passed the hour. Even if I change my computer clock, whenever my other clocks in the room are 7 minutes passed, it will freeze. It looks like the freezing must be set with another clock elsewhere?

I noticed that the freezing only occurs when I'm connected to the dorms at my college. I do not freeze any when using my laptop elsewhere. Could they be scanning my computer each hour? The college requires us to run Trend Micro Office Scan as our firewall. Perhaps Office Scan lets the school network peek into my files? I honestly don't know what's going on.

It doesn't matter what I'm doing, surfing the web, playing a game, coding something. It always freezes every hour at the same exact time. I scanned for viruses and spyware and found nothing, so I think this might be related to the school network. Nobody else in my dorms experiences this, though.
I'm running Windows xp pro.
Well, yeah. I did notice that one process pops up and it always has a different name. I looked it up and found out the process was from Trend Micro, but I find it odd that it always has a different name.
Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that it only freezes for about 3-4 seconds and then everything resumes like normal.

Must be something network related that does not agree with your computer. You will need to ask the Administrator if there is something on the network that is triggered at every hour.
